Mad about plurals—a gaggle of geese

On July 13, 2020 by Tayo Enahoro-Bowyer

Is the plural of goose, gooses? Nope, it is not. It is geese.
What do you call geese when they are flying? Do they have a special name? Yep. We call flying geese a "flock of geese".

In the lightning-quick lesson above, you've learnt that one goose is a goose, that two or more are geese, and that geese in the air are a flock of geese.
That seems to be pretty much everything. So what the heck is a "gaggle" of geese?

Well, that's the fun bit. Check out the FULL article, which you can read by pressing the button below.

Psst
By the way, in the full article, you'll also learn the plural of 'moose'.
The answer may surprise you.
A moose
A moose

Simple things like plural and so on are the things most adults don't understand again, it's good to practice with others how to continually make use of language. Thanks for sharing that short yet meaning article, some plural are bound to confuse you if you don't have the clear use of language.

Yes, I think you're right. Many of us forget lots of things we learnt at school, and we need to be reminded of them from time to time.

Ah, another good thing for me to be able to learn here is this plural of goose. You know, I might have made the mistake of this plural a number of times before and didn't take note of it. Now I'm sure I wouldn't make that mistake again. In any case, I hope that the plural of moose isn't meese. That would sound very funny.

Meese does sound very funny. Unfortunately, 'meese' is not the plural of moose, worst luck.
I kind of wish it were though. 😁
